Respiration Yoga

 with Zander Hathaway

Respiration Yoga involves a powerful breathing exercise derived from Tibetan Tummo, which has been practiced in extremely cold temperatures by monks for several thousand years and recently made popular by Wim Hof, a.k.a. “the Iceman”. This method is designed to influence the autonomic nervous system, endocrine system, and immune system, in order to bring balance to virtually all functions of the body, regulate its core temperature, and generate greater health and happiness. We will begin the practice at the top of the waterfall and then move into the water to experience it in a colder environment.

9:00 - 11:30am

 The Tyranny of Language:
How to consciously use words instead of unconsciously allowing words to use you

with Russ Giles

This interactive seminar (that means lots of participant participation!), explores how language actually limits and dictates the reality we perceive. And what can be done about that. While the seminar involves a group of people, the insights (both ahah's and uh-oh's) will be highly individualized to each participant. Most of the exercises involve practicing specific techniques you can use on others AND especially on yourself to usurp the tyrannical grip of language that limits your perceptions about your world and yourself.

Some things you might discover (not simply as concepts, but as knowings):

  • This language you got in your head isn't even yours.
  • The most profound beliefs you have are the ones you don't know about.
  • Most the time you think you are thinking; you're not.
  • When you find yourself caught in a rut or a hole, the first thing to do: STOP DIGGING!

Regenerative Business: Creating Upward Spirals of Personal, Community, and Ecological Regeneration

The current global economy is based on imbalanced values and agreements that are corrosive to communities and the environment, and thus highly detrimental to those using it. A variety of factors indicate the old degenerative economy is in its final stages of decline, failing to serve the majority of the people using it, and devastating communities and nature as unsustainable resource consumption precipitates large systemic, societal, and environmental changes.

Our declining systems can be redesigned and replaced, and the need to do so is undeniable. If we unite, align, and support each other around our shared desire to live in a regenerative world, we can develop new ecologically and socially integral, life-honoring systems that can regenerate our communities and the environment.

Join Eric Baudry, Sustainability Strategist and Co-founder of Upward Spirals, to explore how we’re designing the future of our economy; the core challenges, the biggest opportunities for growth, and the tools we’re using to build the regenerative world our hearts know is possible

(Here are the presentation notes, or learn about the Solution Center, our most advanced project to create a regenerative economy)
