Ricky Brown, BS, DC, NMD will explain the "Allergy Model of Disease", the history of allergy elimination techniques (NAET and Bio-SET), effective allergy elimination tapping practices, and answer questions related to common allergies involved in various diseases. Allergy testing by muscle response testing will be demonstrated and taught. A working understanding of allergy / sensitivity testing and treatment is the objective in this brief presentation.

Walking Meditation

In 2013, Kim hiked the Appalachian Trail, a 2189 mile trek along the East Coast of the United States. As a solo hiker, she developed a daily walking meditation that included chakra balancing, karmic clearing, and circles of light. During that period of time she witnessed uncommon manifestations, survived a bear encounter, and escaped three serious falls that could have resulted in death. One hiker witnessed her fall 15 feet off of a steep vertical path and land with no injuries or scratches. He told her that he had just seen her “float down” the fall. She will be sharing her meditation techniques in a one hour walk about at the Diamante Center. If you have a walking stick or two, please bring (not required).

Teaming: A Workshop Experiment

This 'event' is a two hour experiment in group interaction hopefully leading to some new insights into teamwork and teams. It is not a normal workshop with a leader providing information and/or demonstration followed by “discussion”.

Rather it is based on how children learn through games, contests and mutual inquiry/consensus. The intention of this event is two-fold. 1) to uncover some often hidden things that make teams successful and 2) to experience hueristic (trial n error; non-authoritarian) educational exercises.

It will be all right to have a lot of fun

Respiration Yoga involves a powerful breathing exercise derived from Tibetan Tummo, which has been practiced in extremely cold temperatures by monks for several thousand years and recently made popular by Wim Hof, a.k.a. “the Iceman”. This method is designed to influence the autonomic nervous system, endocrine system, and immune system, in order to bring balance to virtually all functions of the body, regulate its core temperature, and generate greater health and happiness. We will begin the practice at the top of the waterfall and then move into the water to experience it in a colder environment.

Preparation: This practice is based on peak moments of your experience. So you may find it useful to reflect on the times in your life when you felt 1) the highest state of health and Wellbeing 2) when you were the happiest and 3) when you were most in love with all you were ecperiencing in you life. These will form the basis of our practice together.

We are presenting the first step in a model system that can be used for solving community issues, we have chosen to focus on addiction because it is something that everyone has had to face in their lifetime so we all have a point of reference and letting go of addiction would be a wonderful way to close out this year and open to the new year. This workshop will discuss communities role in supporting those we love through the process of addictive transformation, and a pivotal lens from which to consider addictive behavior that enables an empowering perspective for growth and well being. We will be presenting three meditative process to assist in our self discovery (1) meditation to drop in observe and better understand our addictive pattern(s); (2) a diad to learn compassionate listening and to introduce the power of being heard; (3) and finally a meditative process to release these patterns and enter a new truer state of being.

Introduction To Systema

Many cultures around the world have powerful martial arts.

For Russia, the most comprehensive one would be Systema – the physical practice, which has numerous benefits both for physical and psychological health as well as spiritual growth. At its core Systema is a system for adaptation towards the environment based on holistic approach.

Evolved through 10 centuries of combative arts, the history of the Cossacks and Eastern spirituality, Systema is a natural toolbox that can help deal with stress and tension and be competent in conflict resolution.

In Systema, the body has to be free of tension, filled with endurance, flexibility, effortless movement, and explosive potential. The spirit or psychological state has to be calm, free of anger, irritation, fear, self-pity, delusion, and pride. The combat skill includes movements that are powerful and precise, instant and economical, spontaneous, subtle, and diverse, the signature of a true professional of any movement discipline.

In this “Intro To Systema” class, participants will work individually and with each other, learning principles that can be easily applied to all aspects of life to cultivate awareness and become more mindful. Principles applying to Breathing, Posture, Constant Movement, and Relaxation that help keep the human organism balanced and in a state of readiness at all times to effectively deal with all challenges in life.
